Testing and Evaluation

Several diagnostic tests will be performed to determine if you have cataracts and how surgery can improve your vision. After the decision is made to have surgery, additional tests will be performed. An ultrasound, for example, will be used to measure the focal length of the eye and to calculate the correct focusing power for the intraocular lens exchange.
