Experience and Expertise
There is no substitute for experience. The Institute’s director, William J. Rand, M.D., is an accomplished corneal surgeon who has successfully performed over 50,000 refractive and microsurgical procedures.

Sterility
In the ophthalmologic medical literature, it is recommended that LASIK be “treated as a true sterile procedure.” The Rand Eye Institute treats LASIK as a true sterile procedure. Most laser centers do not.

The Rand Surgical Pavilion is Florida licensed as a surgical facility by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and it is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
