Certified Surgical Technologist, CST, F/T

Essential Requirements

•    Possess a minimum of two years as a CST and one year in an ophthalmology OR setting

•    Qualified candidates required certification from accredited surgical technologist school

•    CPR certification required

•    Instrument processing and handling

•    Knowledge of Joint Commission standards

Experience in Ophthalmology a must, vitreo-retina experience a plus.

Registered Nurse-Operating Room, OR-RN, F/T

We presently have an opportunity for an Operating Room, RN. We are looking for a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in the peri-operative field. The Registered Nurse effectively delivers care to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation.

Qualified candidates will possess at least two years previous O.R. experience; a degree from accredited school of nursing; RN with current State of Florida License; CPR certification required; and ACLS, CNOR optional.

Experience in Ophthalmology a plus.

Medical Transportation Van Driver

Patient Transportation Driver is responsible for safely operating a 16-passenger van. The primary objective of the Driver is providing safe, reliable, and efficient patient transportation for all ages. Successful applicants must have a safe driving record and clean background check. Other responsibilities include:

Job Duties

  • Loading and unloading of passengers on vans
  • Transporting of passengers that vary in ages
  • Escorting passengers from vehicle to/from first pickup location

Requirements

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Must be 21 or older
•    Current and valid Florida driver’s license
•    Current and valid Florida Chauffer registration
•    Very familiar with the Tri-County area of Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Ability to provide excellent customer service
•    Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor and appearance
•    Ability to adhere to attendance policy

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
•    CDL Class C License with P Endorsement

Medical Receptionist Full Time F/T and Part Time P/T

Warm, friendly, professional person needed for large ophthalmology practice.

Examples of Responsibilities

  • Greets patients promptly
  • Registers patients by gathering, verifying and entering demographic and insurance information
  • Collects co-payments and personal payments
  • Prepares days sheet and balances for each day
  • Handles inquiries about insurances accepted, office hours, services, exam fees,
    doctor information, etc
  • Assists the patient in acquiring any insurance referrals required for their upcoming visit
  • Verifies upcoming appointments
  • Handles telephone receptionist responsibilities
  • Assists other patient service staff as needed
  • Properly triages patients and visitors
  • Responds easily to routine requests for information
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times and communicates with the compliance officer regarding procedural changes and concerns
  • Issues proper receipts and maintains balanced drawer
  • Schedules appointments

Requirements

•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.

Edit and transcribe dictation for a variety of medical reports, such as patient histories, physical examinations, operations, chart reviews, consultation, or discharge summaries.

Certified Ophthalmic Angiographer (COA)/Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA)

Ideal candidate should be experienced and proficient in performing the following tests with clear and accurate photos:

  • Fundus fluorescein angiography
  • Fundus Camera
  • OCT
  • B-Scans
  • Visual Fields
  • And more – specific to retina assessments

This candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented and proficient with most computer software.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment yet demonstrates patience when photographing and explaining instructions to the patient.
